BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
Although I'm a week late, and you've probably already found the results elsewhere, I thought I'd still pass on the word to you....just in case.
**The Fall XC Nationals took place 12/1 in Mobile, Alabama. Those participating included members of the Nike Farm Team, Reebok Aggies, and many other individuals from around the US. The Nike Farm Team took second place for both Men and Women. The Men's team was led by Chris Graff's 2nd place finish over the 10K course in 30:48.86. Elissa Reidy placed 6th overall and was the first Farm Team member crossing the line at 20:56.97 on the 6K course. Read Brian McGuire's (of BARN) coverage story of how things went down... Click here to read**The 2001 Cal Int'l Marathon took place 12/2 in the Sacramento area. The race started in Folsom and headed down through the streets into downtown Sac. With the weather not being on the side of the runners, I think it's safe to say that there weren't many records broken. The Men of Adidas Transports were the first 3 Californians across the line taking home the team title. Chico resident and Asst. Coach at Chico State, Noah Marcus, led his team with a time of 2:29.39. He was followed closely by former CAL standouts Steve Moreno and Bill McMorran coming in at 2:29.54 and 2:30.15, respectively. In the Women's results, Magdalena Lewy (also former CAL standout) was 25th overall (both Men and Women) and was the 2nd Woman to finish with an impressive time of 2:37.57. Lewy, member of Adidas Transports, led her team to a first place finish as well. For full information on the CIM race Click Here
